Before you continue through the gate nearby, make your way above the gate to a lever. Up ahead you’ll find a waypoint to the eastern side of the room and a statue with lasers shooting out. Regardless of how you opened the tunnel, head on through until you reach a wooden ladder that brings you to the Selunite Outpost area.

You’ll also get an update in the quest, Find the Nightsong. Once you successfully pick the lock, the lever will immediately open a nearby tunnel entrance. If you haven’t completed the moon puzzle, this lever will be locked upon use.Īll you need to do is use a set of Thieves’ Tools and pick the lock the lever successfully to open the tunnel. Bring each of your party members over until one hopefully succeeds a perception roll to notice the lever. The screenshot below shows one of many Selune symbols on the wall, but this one is special. Now if you don’t want to solve the moon puzzle and instead want to skip it, you’ll need a successful perception roll and to pick a lock. The solution to this puzzle is rotating the plates until they match the below screenshot. And the light shining down also tries to point you toward one of the four plates.

The Priestess Journal in the screenshot further up in this walkthrough extremely subtly tips the pattern you need here. We’ll cover the puzzle first for those of you that enjoy completing them. There are two methods to open the tunnel and only one requires completing the puzzle. Also, they’ll point out that the plates have symbols on them.īefore you can make it into the Underdark, you’ll need to solve a moon puzzle in the Defiled Temple. As you enter the eastern room, your party will perform an Investigation roll to mention the moving floor plates in the center of the room. If you haven’t killed Polma, you won’t have the luxury of searching for the Priestess Journal to get a clue. Now that you’ve dealt with Polma, you can either continue east toward a puzzle or search the room for clues. Take advantage of the ladder near the entrance to put ranged characters up high. Without using magic to distract Polma, you’ll need to take her out to advance further in the Moonrise Towers quest. She won’t attack you on sight, but if you try to move much further from the door, she’ll warn you not to. You’ll immediately come across an ogre named Polma, Bodyguard of the High Priestess, upon entering. This door leads to the Defiled Temple, another step closer to finding the Underdark. The southwestern corner of the Shattered Sanctum has a room with an Ornate Door in it.

It doesn’t matter whether you go through the front door or use the cracked wall above. Once you’ve returned to the Goblin Camp, continue back into the Shattered Sanctum where all the goblin leaders were inside. A useful strategy for wiping the Goblin Camp is recruiting the ogres from the Blighted Village. So if you take the waypoint over, be prepared for a goblin fight if you haven’t previously killed them all. Start heading back to the Goblin Camp where you’re likely not able to walk around freely anymore. Unfortunately, he won’t provide you with much more information than that, aside from Aradin trying to find treasures down there and failing.

If you ask Halsin about how to get to the Underdark, he’ll mention there being a tunnel leading there from the temple of Selune. This forces you to take the tunnels beneath the Underdark for the next step in your quest. Currently, the Risen Road and mountain pass routes are incomplete and will provide a picture saying these regions aren’t currently in the game. He mentions the Risen Road, a mountain pass, and the tunnels in the Underdark. This quest hasn’t been completely finished by the team at Larian Studios, but you can still take one of the three paths mentioned by Halsin. Reach Moonrise Towers Walkthrough Where is Underdark?
